Petar & Femke Tatarski

Timothy and Anna

Petar (from Bulgaria) felt God leading him to full-time ministry during and after a summer internship in 2013. Femke's (from the Netherlands) first trip to Bulgaria with the team from her church was in 2011. Her love for Bulgaria grew during the following three summers as she continued to go back each year. Petar and Femke met in Velingrad, Bulgaria in August of 2014. Femke was serving with a team from her church and Petar was working with Josiah Venture's partner organization in Bulgaria—Istinski Horizonti. They got married in October of 2016 with the decision to be a family on mission to equip young believers to fulfill Christ's Commission. They served for two years in Velingrad and for three years in Stara Zagora. Now they are located in Sofia—the country's capital and Petar's home town. Petar is working on spreading the wilderness ministry on a national scale. He wants to equip many churches to reach and disciple youth by using this ministry as a tool for transformative experiences with God. He is also involved with the youth ministry of their church in Sofia. Femke spent the years between 2018-2022 primarily on maternity leave. Now, she has taken the role of an administrative assistant for another ministry called Bulgarian Bible League, which equips church planters and offers trainings for discipleship materials. She is also a part of the Sunday school teaching team in their local church. They want to see Bulgarian churches actively reaching and discipling the young generation.
