Dima Rachkovskyy

A native to the Ukraine, Dima, like many other young people in Central and Eastern Europe, came in contact with Josiah Venture through English camps. For the last decade his church in Ukraine had been building a cross-national relationship with a Polish church in the city of Zory. In 2008, Dima received an opportunity to take part in a short-term mission trip to Zory, Poland with his church. Although it was never originally on his radar that he would one day move there, year after year he kept returning to Poland. Then one day while serving alongside his Ukrainian and Polish brothers and sisters, God began opening Dima’s heart to the possibility of moving there to build relationships with the young people there. Within months he was approached by Fala (Josiah Venture’s partner organization in Poland) with the opportunity to help with a new sports ministry initiative. Dima will continue his involvement with the church is Zory and plans to move to Krakow in spring of 2014. He still lives in Ukraine and is currently support raising.
