Jozef & Bonnie Stefancik

After attending his first Josiah Venture English Camp in 2001, Jozef began the adventure of following Jesus Christ. Realizing how much others helped his growth, Jozef became an ‘older brother’ to new believers and was asked to be a volunteer youth pastor in his town of Strakonice in the Czech Republic. In 2009, he attended JV’s internship program for youth leaders. Then, he graduated in 2010 with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Economics in Prague, and his heart began to move toward full-time ministry. Bonnie first came to Czech as a teenager with her church to serve at English camp with Elim Pisek, a church in Southern Bohemia. While at Moody Bible Institute, she realized that God had equipped her to study His Word and relevantly communicate it through drama, storytelling, teaching, and discussion. Her ultimate desire is to see youth increase in their understanding of God’s Word and effectively apply it to their lives. She has co-lead several JV summer intern teams and has done local ministry with Pisek and Strakonice. During this time, Jozef and Bonnie were ministry partners and became good friends. They married in 2011 and are serving in a church in the Chicago suburbs. They are eager to move to Strakonice, CZ because they want to see people from this region experience the love of Jesus and to know Him. They have been invited to help establish and participate in the formation of the newly planted church there. Additionally, they will be part of JV English camp ministry. Their goal is to move there in the spring 2013.
