Pavel Trifu

Pavel and Laura live in Galați, one of the biggest cities in the eastern region of Romania. They met at the Bible College at Emmanuel Christian Church in Galați and got married in 2013. Their son, Paul-Simeon, is 5 (in 2022).

Laura graduated with both a B.A. and M.A. at the Faculty of Letters from Galați. She has taught Romanian Literature and Grammar since 2012 in a public high school. Pavel graduated with a B.A. at the Baptist Pastoral Theological Institute of Bucharest, and he is now studying for his M.A. at the Faculty of Baptist Pastoral Theology at the University of Bucharest. He has worked since 2015 as the chaplain of Diaconia Medical Center from Braila. Starting in 2019, he has also been leading the youth ministry of Emmanuel Christian Church in Galati, a beautiful Bible-based church full of disciples of Jesus.

Pavel and Laura are working with the leaders from Vital (Josiah Venture’s partner ministry in Romania) to develop an online training network for young leaders. They are also working on some curricula to incorporate Josiah Venture training materials with some topics that will be useful uniquely in Romanian culture. Laura will be working specifically on the Romanian culture and editing portion of this endeavor.

Both Laura and Pavel enjoy working with the church youth, and their desire is to reach the young people of Galati for Jesus. They love to read good books, drink coffee, and travel.
