The Czech Republic is lovely; quaint villages dot rolling hills and Czech cities boast beautiful European architecture, chic coffee shops, and modern culture. Czechs are innovative, hard-working, appreciate quality play, and highly value relationships. But a relationship with Jesus is not readily claimed; less than 1% of Czechs identify as evangelical believers.
Josiah Venture missionaries partner with Czech churches in strengthening their youth ministries and reaching out to students who have yet to believe in Jesus.
Fusion interns will support the ongoing Fusion ministry with evangelistic music camps. These camps are not only a vital tool in bringing the gospel to the youth in a relevant, relaxed environment, but they are also a significant bridge to year-round relational ministries rooted in local churches.
During the first month of the internship, you will visit schools and Fusion groups to promote camps, and connect with students in a variety of youth music ministry activities. At each camp, you’ll experience evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training for Czech teenagers and youth leaders. Each Fusion camp offers different workshop choices for students which might include but are not limited to: acoustic, electric and bass guitar, keyboard, drums, drama, dance (different styles), conducting, solo singing, PA and lights, photography, photoshop, videography, video editing, design (posters, tickets etc.), and web design.
Fusion camps accept students from all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Interns need to feel comfortable teaching students who already have two years of experience in their chosen instrument/creative art. For those playing an instrument, we additionally ask that you have at least a year of experience playing that instrument in the context of a band (e.g. worship band).
This is a high-energy ministry that requires a great love for students and your chosen art! Be prepared for a very busy schedule that will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life as you love students and share the hope of the gospel with them!
