Missionary Bio
Sasha grew up in Eastern Ukraine, spending the first twenty years of his life in Kharkiv. In 1999, he felt called by God to become a missionary in the city of Rivne, 800 kilometers away from his home. There, he joined a team that planted a new church called Skelya, which means “the Rock.” In 2002, he met and married his wife, Nataliya, and they served the youth in Skelya Church together.
They officially joined Josiah Venture (JV) in 2016, and, since that time, have faithfully served young leaders together with their two daughters, Diana and Juliana, and their youngest son Timothy. In 2020, Sasha and his family moved to Central Ukraine, near Kyiv, to develop the ministry of JV Ukraine in this region and to serve churches and young leaders in Ukraine through leadership training.
In June 2025, Sasha stepped into the role of leading the JV Ukraine team and now serves as the country leader of JV Ukraine.
Sasha and Nataliya’s family continue to be actively involved in the ministry of their local church. Sasha serves as one of the pastors of Irpin Bible Church, where he provides care and guidance for the leaders of the teen, youth, and sports ministries. Since the very beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Nataliya has been faithfully serving widows and families of fallen soldiers together with her team. She is also deeply engaged in personal mentoring of young women and girls. Diana has a strong passion for reaching young, unchurched people from various youth subcultures. She is part of the Custom team, where she boldly shares the gospel with lost young people and disciples girls who are new to the faith
