Samuel and Sarka, along with their two children Eliska and Barbora, have been serving with Josiah Venture in the Czech Republic since April 2005. After finishing an internship at KAM (JV’s partner organization in Czech) in 2002, Samuel made a step of faith and obeyed the Lord’s calling to full time ministry. He left his job in the engineering factory where he worked for 17 years. He devoted his life to different ministries – to the Mongolian community in Zlin, eight years to college student ministry, and running summer English camps for high school students. He organizes lectures, meeting various interesting guests and speakers, and also weekend retreats for families and men. His main focus in his ministry is educating, training, and mentoring the leaders, team of Christian workers, and equipping them for their mission work. Sarka has worked alongside Samuel for the past 16 years. She has been involved in counseling and ministry to children, youth, and women. They live in Zlin not far from Josiah Venture headquarters, where they are involved in building up their local church.
