Missionary Bio
About
God was making himself known to Ivana since her childhood through a Bible for children and Sunday school. However, it took her several years to start following Christ. At around 15-years-old, she started realizing clearly how much God did for her and what it cost Him. This created a desire in her heart to serve him. This led her to start serving in her local church in Bardejov and, later, with the local youth group.
Youth work sunk deep into Ivana’s DNA and has been part of her life ever since. Even through her years of college and a 7-year teaching position at a christian high school, she kept serving in local youth ministry and small groups. Volunteering for the Josiah Venture (JV) Slovakia at the Slovak Conference for Youth Leaders (KPM), at English KECY camps, and at JV Edge sports camps were also part of this season. Ivana was then called to full-time ministry and joined the Josiah Venture Slovakia team in 2019. She currently works on the KPM team and helps with materials created for youth leaders within the pointonline.sk project.
Ivana married Jozef in 2019 and Eliáš was added to their family in 2021. Together, they are an active part of the Lutheran church in Bardejov.
