Missionary Bio
About
Peter first heard about Josiah Venture (JV) while he was a student. In 2019, he spent the summer serving at camps in Ukraine, and, although he had sensed God’s call to missions for some time, that summer made it clear that God was specifically calling him to serve there. In 2023, he returned for another summer of ministry, where God once again confirmed that calling. It was also that summer that Peter and Khrystia met.
Khrystia first learned about JV through missionaries who led English clubs at her school. In 2017, she attended her first JV camp with her local church, where she placed her faith in Christ. In 2025, she served as a summer intern with JV Ukraine and afterward felt called to join the ministry full-time. While dating, Peter and Khrystia dreamed of serving together, though they didn’t know how soon God would make that a reality.
Peter serves on the JV Ukraine European Camps team, helping recruit, prepare, and support short-term mission teams serving in Ukraine. He is also involved in Eastern Initiatives, which supports churches impacted by the war. Khrystia serves on the HR & Resources team, supporting the JV Ukraine staff through administrative and operational work. She is also passionate about serving in her local church and discipling teenage girls.
After getting married, Peter and Khrystia moved to Ternopil, where they now serve at Strong Faith Church. They are excited to invest in the next generation and share the hope of Jesus with young people.
