Iryna Yakubiv

Iryna was raised in a home where no one talked about God. The first time Iryna ever heard about God was in a Christian Ethics class at school. That began to change once Iryna first got connected to Josiah Venture in 2014—when a Fusion choir came to her school. A few months later, she attended that Fusion’s summer camp, which turned her life “UpsideDown” (that year’s camp theme). There, Iryna learned about Jesus and his sacrificial love, and she gave her life to Christ. After that moment, she started attending Christ Fellowship Church, where she serves to this day.

In the summers of 2017 and 2018, she served as a Fusion intern with Josiah Venture in Ukraine. Soon after, she started working part-time for EXIT Ukraine. During her internships and time serving on the EXIT Team, Iryna worked with many different churches and young leaders. She realized just how big the need is for equipping churches and their young leaders to fulfill Christ’s commission of discipleship. In 2020, God called her to work with Josiah Venture Ukraine full-time in order to multiply fruit—not only by pouring into girls in her local church, but also by training and mentoring churches around Ukraine how to bear more fruit by fulfilling Christ’s Commission. She will be primarily serving on the EXIT team and helping further develop school-ministry strategy. Currently, Ira is serving inside Ukraine offering humanitarian aid and refugee assistance with our local church partners.
