Solomon Petkov
Sunny, who has been involved with youth ministry for several years, was raised in a Christian family in Bulgaria, and he has had the privilege of being part of a strong local church. From a young age, he had a passion for God and his people. He has sensed a calling on his life which was developed through involvement with his local church’s youth and worship ministries. He also enjoys athletics and is passionate about equipping local church leaders to engage with youth through sports as a ministry.
After graduating high school in Stara Zagora, he completed a Bible School program in Sydney, Australia. Late, he studied Business Management and Theology in the United States.
After finishing his studies, he felt called to return to Bulgaria and could sense that God had something for him there. Through being involved with EDGE Sports, the Lord opened an opportunity for him to serve as a national missionary in Bulgaria. Sunny is excited about working with the people in his country, reaching this generation for Jesus and discipling next-generation leaders. He will combine his heart for the local church and passion for athletics in the role of Bulgaria’s EDGE Football national coordinator.
