Petra Burdová
Petra is a teacher and she thinks of her job in the Czech Republic as a mission. For 16 years she has taught at primary and secondary schools. She likes young people and is excited about their potential for openness and development, if they have confidence and a wise guide. She enjoys encouraging and supporting others and; as a result, that is just what she plans to do for the Josiah Venture (JV) Comenius 2020 project in Czech. For this project, she joined as a school coordinator. In addition, Petra is contributing to another JV program in Czech called “Gospel to schools” helping with the Daniel movement where she will primarily focus on Daniel weekends or weeks realization. She will also try to develop practical help and support for Christian teachers in secular schools, who work as missionaries on the battle-field. She would like to see them have accessible and understandable ways to engage in the Christian Teachers Network, where they will find encouraging relationships, examples of good practice for their mission, and programs that will respond to their real and current challenges and needs.
