Bring your creativity, adaptability, and passion for people to a summer of impact—sharing Christ, building lasting friendships, and growing as a leader through evangelism and discipleship in Montenegro.

Internship in Montenegro

Community-Based Outreach

Montenegro is a beautiful, relational country in the Balkans, ripe with opportunities to build meaningful connections and share the hope of Christ. Ministry is deeply relational, built through trust, presence, and authentic friendships in a culture that treasures community and personal connection.

In Montenegro, religion is deeply tied to culture and identity, yet personal faith is often nominal or mixed with tradition. Protestant Christians are few and the churches are small and growing, and seeking to build authentic relationships to share Christ in a context where spiritual interest exists but true understanding of the gospel is rare.

Effective youth ministry in Montenegro begins with genuine relationships and belonging—creating spaces where young people experience authentic community, see joyful faith lived out, and are discipled deeply through intentional, relational investment.

We want interns to be ready to get out in the streets and connect with young people! We need interns to invest their time and energy in building caring relationships with Montenegrin youth and their families. Ministry happens through presence, friendship, and everyday life, and interns will have opportunities to think of creative connecting points (such as English clubs, coffee shop meet-ups, basketball tournaments, etc.) to share Christ relationally and authentically.

Being an intern in Montenegro means being prayerful and Spirit-led. You must be adaptable and able to think creatively and independently to create some connecting points throughout the summer when you have open-ended time to do so. You must be open to growing in cross-cultural understanding, as you seek to listen and understand young Montenegrins’ stories first, and seek to share God’s story with them! We hope you’ll come ready to be vulnerable, caring, and excited about the work God is doing in Montenegro, with eyes to see opportunities he’s already giving us to engage and live out the gospel wherever we are!
