1. Data Collected through the EMS Service
Our Clients may ask you for various types of personal information, (including but not limited to the categories listed in section 2 of this policy), depending on their needs. Josiah Venture collects information under the direction of its Clients and works with its Clients to help them provide notice to their users concerning the purpose for which their personal information is collected.
An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, delete inaccurate data or request they no longer be contacted, should direct his or her query to the Josiah Venture EMS account holder they interact with directly, (the data controller). We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements with our Clients.
If the Client requests that we remove the data on their behalf, we will respond to their request within 30 days.
We will retain your information and the information we process on behalf of clients, for as long as those accounts are active or as needed to provide services. We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Josiah Venture co-brands with organizations who share common mission and vision, as well as churches that perform events and activities with Josiah Venture. PII may only be passed between these partners if permission has been given by the owner of the data. An individual who seeks to have their PII deleted or to restrict sharing of this information can contact the Josiah Venture EMS account holder they interact with directly or can contact email@example.com.

5. Tracking Technologies / Cookies
We Josiah Venture and our partners (i.e. donor processor and accounting services), affiliates, or analytics or service providers (i.e. donor support and database provider), use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the website, tracking users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.
We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. We use session cookies to stores settings and know which users are logged into the system. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. We use persistent cookies to store session ID cookies. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.
If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some areas of our site, such as administration of events and participants, will be limited.
Web Beacons / Gifs
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personal information.
We use Local Storage, such as HTML5, to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our website or to display advertising based upon your web browsing activity also use Flash cookies or HTML5 to collect and store information. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5. To manage Flash cookies, please click here:http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
Analytics / Log Files
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personal information.
3rd Party Tracking
We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this website and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests.
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our Web site, you can contact us at email@example.com
