Good news among the bad.

Dear Friends,

As I write this, the airwaves are filled with financial gloom and doom. Even in Eastern Europe, newspapers feature the stories of bank crisis in the United States. Investors are scrambling to stem their losses and move their resources to stable ground. But sometimes stable ground is hard to find. If we could somehow predict the future, we would make wise decisions and prepare. But these days so much is unknown! Will the banking crisis get worse, or have we reached the bottom? Elections are just around the corner. Will the new leadership bring stability, or will change actually make things worse?

You have a distinct advantage in these unstable times. You do know the future, and are already making decisions based on “insider information”. Without a doubt His kingdom will come, His purpose will be done. And when you gave and prayed for your JV missionary this month, you made an investment with eternal dividends. You moved your resources to stable ground.

I hope that realization is an encouragement to you! At the end of this month I’m taking a portion of our team on the road to give you a full report on what God is doing in response to your faithfulness. Traveling through 11 cities, we are inviting friends and supporters to “vision nights” where we will give you the big picture of God’s work in Eastern Europe, and share with you our dream for the future.
