Jakub, Martina, Eliska, Lucie
Dan grew up in a Christian home under Communism. The pressure on believers was significant and at one point Dan’s parents had the opportunity to escape to Norway and start a new life there. After a night of searching and prayer they decided to return to what was then still Czechoslovakia, convinced that God had called them to make a difference for Christ despite the difficult conditions.
After the revolution in 1989, Dan began working with young people. The blessing God brought to his ministry made it clear that his parents’ decision had been honored. Following a year in the KAM internship in 1997-98, Dan was asked to teach in the training program, and then began to take a leadership role in national training for young people. From 2003-2007 he was the director of the KAM School of Leaders, an innovative training program that equips leaders in seven denominations.
In 2006 Dan planted a new church Majak (Lighthouse) whose vision is to plant another churches. Dan is currently the chairman of the KAM Board and a leader in the Majak church. He and his wife, Daniela, have three children and live in the town of Vsetin.
