Nate first came to the Czech Republic in the summer of 2001 as a summer intern, and fell in love with English camps and the people he served and worked with. Every summer from 2002-2004, he led a high school team to work with English camps. He then joined JV in the Czech Republic in 2005 to lead the English Camp team.

Emily started coming to Czech in 2006 with her church in Arizona and quickly connected with the youth. She returned as an intern for the summers of 2007 and 2008. Upon arriving home in 2008, Emily began to pursue serving with JV in Czech. As that process began, so did the process of her relationship with Nate!

On April 26, 2009, Nate and Emily were married and on May 1 moved back to Cesky Tesin where they serve in their local church and lead the English Camp ministry.

Throughout the year, they help to organize English Camps, recruit US churches and interns, and guide Czech youth leaders and their youth groups to be more effective in sharing the Gospel and reaching their friends. Then during the summer they are involved in the training of American summer interns, as well as the US & Irish teams that come for camps. They also travel around the country to encourage and help the 20+ camps that take place every summer.

Their hope is that not only will God use them to ignite passion in Czech believers and to share the hope of Christ with unbelievers, but also that God would change them in powerful ways to be more effective for His Kingdom.
