Sara, Bara, David

As a seriously ill child, David started karate as a means of improving his health. He eventually won national championships in the Czech Republic. But sports and career didn´t really fill him up. In 1996 he found what was missing and put his faith in Christ. Not long afterwards he began to work with young people who needed help. God simply called him to do this.

He established a non-profit organization called ZIP for working with young people in Havirov. He was awarded (as the first Czech) a world award as an active young leader by Youth Action Net Award in Buenos Aires. At the time he was also helping missionary and humanitarian activity through an endowment fund called Nehemia.

Since February 2007 he has worked in KAM as the leader of a parallel campaign called TURBO316 for the KAM/Czech Television show, EXIT316. His motivation in life as well as work comes from Habbakkuk 2:14: "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea."

David lives in Havirov with his wife, two daughters and one son.
