While growing up in sunny Lancaster, California, Zach spent most of his time playing soccer and helping in his church youth group. In fact, it was through his involvement in the youth group's worship team that Zach discovered a love for music and decided to abandon his goal to be a professional soccer player, and start a band with his brother and some friends, called Dizmas. After years of growth he and his band mates were offered a record deal by EMI/CMG and began to tour all over the world.
In March of 2008, after years of touring, Zach began to work alongside Josiah Venture through the help of his friends Scott Ardavanis and Dave Patty. It was after a short trip to the Czech Republic in March of 2008 that Zach fell in love with the Czech culture and saw Josiah Venture's passion to reach Eastern Europe through music and evangelism. After much prayer and conversation, Zach and the rest of his band mates were invited by Josiah Venture to help reach the youth of Eastern Europe through their music on the Exit 316 tour. Since then, Zach has been accepted into the Josiah Venture family and is preparing to help kick start that tour.
