Joe came on his first summer mission trip to Latvia back in 2001. He then came three more times for summer mission trips before deciding to make the move to Latvia after graduating from BIOLA in 2007. These summer trips all had a profound effect on his life as he grew in his faith and in his love for Latvia and its people.

Joe currently spends his time in language learning, working closely with two youth ministries in Riga, planning for and leading the summer intern team, and playing in a local youth basketball league with the hopes of connecting with and sharing Christ with other Latvian guys. He hopes to see many young Latvian men encounter Christ and to be transformed by Him.
